Australia's largest and most prestigious half marathon event, The Sydney Morning Herald Half Marathon presented by Qantas Assure, returns to Sydney on Sunday 21^st May, 2017.

An estimated 12,000 local and interstate entrants will tackle the Half Marathon, now in its 26th year. Starting and finishing in Hyde Park, the 21km route takes in The Rocks, Pyrmont Peninsula and iconic Sydney views including the Opera House and Harbour Bridge.

The event will attract entrants wanting to challenge themselves to complete the full distance individually or share the experience and enter as a relay team, splitting the course into 7km and 14km legs.  The relay is perfect for runners at all levels and provides a great challenge to everyone, especially those looking to hit a new, personal best.
