The St Kilda Openair Cinema will kick off is inaugural Melbourne season at the St Kilda Sea baths on Thursday 1 February.
St Kilda Openair Cinema ties a strong program of films together with the great vibes of St Kilda and its signature 'Orange Hour' - offering pre-movie live entertainment through to sunset.
The full season program comprises recent hits including Jason Reitman's satirical Thank you for Smoking; Little Miss Sunshine starring Greg Kinnear and Toni Collette; The AFI Award winning Kenny; and Martin Scorsese's The Departed; as well as cult classics including the romantic Dr Zhivago; animation and musical extravaganza Daft Punk - Interstella 5555; and the all-singing-all-dancing Rocky Horror Picture Show.
The season will launch on Thursday 1 February with a special screening of Michael Gondry's Block Party, which follows the hilarious stand-up comedian David Chappelle bringing microphone fire to the streets of Brooklyn. Be part of the first ever St Kilda Openair screening on this special opening night event - amazing live acts including a hip-hop 'danceoff', break-dancers and funky sounds during 'Orange Hour'. The month long season will host a number of special events including; a special free screening ofPink Floyd: The Wall in support of the Reach foundation (Monday 5 February).
