Passions will flare in the Spanish Quarter on Sunday 3 September with an all day fiesta of live music from across the Spanish speaking world, flamenco and salsa dancing, tantalising food and market stalls.
The fourth annual Spanish Quarter Street Festival, which is produced by the City of Sydney, promises a feast for the senses.
Leading flamenco guitarists, dancers and singers, and roving mariachis, will entertain the expected 40,000+ crowd on Liverpool and Kent Streets throughout the day and into the starry spring night.
Movers and shakers will be enticed on to the dance floor to swing their hips and stamp their feet.
Food lovers will enjoy the flavours of Iberia at stalls, cafes and restaurants. They can expect the best of Spanish food and wine, including assorted tapas, paella, churros con chocolate, and the continental punch of choice, sangria.
For shoppers, market stalls will offer homewares, crafts, clothes and delicacies.
