Fine wine, majestic sea views, rolling vineyards and one of Australia's most talented female singers - could there be any better way to spend a Saturday in February?

The Scotchmans Hill Summer Festival, featuring the exceptional talent of Kate Ceberano, is sure to be one of the highlights of the Victorian social and entertainment calendar in 2003. Profits from the concert go to the Stroke Foundation of Victoria and Geelong-based charity, United Way.

Spray Farm, owned by nearby winery Scotchmans Hill, is one of the most famous and beautiful historic properties in the region. With stunning farmlands rolling down to the ocean, formal parterre gardens and a cellar door offering the esteemed Scotchmans Hill, Swan Bay and The Hill wines, this is a concert and a venue not to be missed. The Scotchmans Hill Group was one of the first vineyards in Victoria to introduce a concert 'in the vines' and has established itself as the premier outdoor concert experience.

The Scotchmans Hill Summer Festival, celebrating its seventh year in 2003 is undeniably a hedonist's delight. A full gourmet experience can be had when you purchase one of the delectable hampers on offer, visit the wine tent or roam the property drinking a freshly made espresso.

The gates of Spray Farm open at 4.30pm and Kate comes on stage at 7.30pm. She will dazzle the audience until 10pm when the skies light up with a spectacular display of fireworks by world-renowned pyrotechnician, Syd Howard.

Visitors can bring their own rugs and chairs and sit anywhere in the natural amphitheatre overlooking Port Phillip Bay skyline. Spray Farm is situated on the Bellarine Peninsula between Drysdale and Portarlington, approximately 90 minutes from Melbourne. Ferries depart from Sorrento to Queenscliff regularly and there's even a special late night chartered ferry organised just for the 22nd, that leaves Queenscliff for Sorrento after the concert.
