What if, one evening, the light in the moon went out...and what if you were the one responsible for finding a replacement light bulb? This is just the beginning of one very strange night, a night called LaLaLuna performed by one of today's masters of physical theatre, Wolfe Bowart.

American writer/perfomer Wolfe Bowart has toured the world with this enchanting solo show that had its UK Premiere at the Royal Festival Hall as part of 2007's London International Mime Festival. Wolfe Bowart's LaLaLuna now makes its Sydney debut at the Seymour Centre from 11 to 26 April as part of a 40-performance tour of Australia.

LaLaLuna is a surreal and whimsical tale of the moon's caretaker as he struggles to re-light the darkened moon. It flies you to the moon and back on a winged unicycle to a symphony of whoopee cushions and ukulele in a topsy-turvy world in which gravity isn't always on its best behaviour. Bowart's roundabout quest to illuminate the moon will take you to the top of a windswept stack of suitcases and spear your behind with cactus spines.

In 2006, LaLaLuna earned 'Best of Fest' raves from critics and audiences at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, the Adelaide Fringe Festival and the acclaimed Out of the Box Festival at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre during its first Australian tour.

Taught by visionaries such as Cirque du Soleil's Denis Lacombe, Bowart's work is silently funny, endearing and whimsical.
