Christmas is coming to Darling Harbour with a giant tree, concert and carollers!

Darling Harbour promises the best FREE festive fun for everyone all season long.

Darling Harbour heralds a fun-filled Christmas with the lighting of the Southern Hemisphere's brightest Christmas tree and a free Christmas concert with fireworks on Saturday 1 December.

From 7.30pm, David Campbell, Georgie Parker and the Australian Youth Choir will perform Christmas carols from around the world accompanied by a 20-piece orchestra live on the Aquashell floating stage.

Special guests Alvin & The Chipmunks and Bob the Builder will also entertain the audience with their funny antics during the 'Sounds of Christmas from Around the World' concert.

Direct from the North Pole, Santa and his Elves will zoom into Cockle Bay on jet skis for an early Christmas visit before a Starlight Foundation Wish Child flicks the switch on Darling Harbour's spectacular, new Christmas tree.

Darling Harbour's new, bigger and brighter 21-metre tall, energy efficient Christmas tree will have thousands of lights and mirror balls, as well as hopping kangaroos and multicoloured angels.

The Christmas concert will conclude with a festive fireworks finale at 9pm.

The Christmas spirit continues throughout season with Sydney's finest a cappella groups performing live by the tree each evening from 7pm - 9pm on 2, 6 - 9, 13 - 16 and 20- 24 December.
