Sienna

Sienna is a Contemporary Artist born and raised on Long Island, NY. She matured into an incredible artist that has captured hearts throughout the New York area, Nashville, TN and all points in between. Now her focus is to minister across the country, sharing her gifts and message with people everywhere.

At the age of 15, Sienna was introduced to a youth group at a local church. Reluctantly Sienna went and it changed her life forever. " I DID NOT want to go! Once I went, there was no turning back. We sang all contemporary Christian music, something I never heard of before. I had such an awesome youth minister who really taught us the word. It was there that a seed was planted in me and I knew that I was called to use my talents to bring people closer to the Lord. God has given me the foundation which enables me to reach those of a younger generation and show them the right path to walk on. I am now one of the youth ministers of that same group and I hope that I can give the teens what I was given when I was there."

Singing however was not her only passion. Growing up Sienna would travel to NYC where she auditioned and landed roles in off Broadway productions as well as one woman shows. Through her years of musical theater, countless stage and television appearances, youth ministry, and world championship competitions, Sienna has the ability to move to a national and international stage. Sienna was one of the two artist chosen from the US to travel to Italy and take part of "The International Concert of Christian music." As a result of this, her music is now being distributed throughout Europe and her songs have gained air play in Europe as well as the US.
Her message is simple: "If we don't tell people about Jesus and His love for them, then who will? If I can touch just one persons heart and bring them closer to the Lord then my mission is accomplished. My songs are real. They are about everyday things in life that people go through and can relate to."

Sienna's music can best be described as Top 40 R-n-B and Pop. Her voice can soar in a ballad, growl in a gospel chorus, or rock with the band. Ultimately it will be her commercial voice, undying desire to minister, and her strong will and spirit that make her a success in music for years to come.

Interview:

1. How did it feel to hear your song played all over the airwaves?
   It's an awesome feeling! It's weird cause I'll be driving in the car and then y song will come on and I'm like "This sounds familiar!"
   
   
2. Did you have any pre-conceived ideas about the music industry?
   Baically what I've heard from others....
   
   
3. Do you write your own songs? What's your inspiration?
   I do co-write with other writers. God has blessed me in so many ways and I want to share His love with others through my music. What inspires me is the everyday things in life that people go through and can relate to.
   
   
4. What music/artists do you listen to when you are not playing your own?
   Celine Dion, Michael W. Smith, Third Day and Avalon.
   
   
5. What's next? Tour/Album/Single?

6. Was there a moment you contemplated throwing in the towel?
   Nope. I love music too. It's a huge part of my life, it's who I am. I know that this business can be a hard one to be apart of....but bring it on!
   
   
7. Do you prefer performing live or recording?
   I would have to say live performance beacause there is such an energy and hype. Although I do love recording because you can get real creative in the studio.
   
   
8. What/who was your inspiration to go into the music industry?
   Music has always been apart of my life. I come from a musical family. When I started singing professionally I just knew that I God was calling me to share His love with others through the gift that He has blessed me with.
   
   
9. What is the biggest challenge you have faced along the way to your musical success?
   That the industry is an "Industry" and talent is only a small percentage of what record companies are looking for. They want someone who has the "image" and is marketable. I think that there is a lot of talent out there today and that we have to start looking at peoples hearts and see what's inside rather then what's out.
   
   
10. What's a typical day like?
    It's nuts! I work a day job as a medical assistant in a pediatric doctors office. So I go to work from 8:30-5:30. Then it's off to the gym, come home and work on my music career by either networking and booking gigs or CO-writing songs with other writers. I'm also a youth director at my church so one night a week I go there. It's a crazy schedule but I love every bit of it!
    
    
11. What has been your favorite part of becoming a music artist?
    I would have to say when I went to Europe to perform this summer. I was one of 2 artist chosen from the US to be a part of The International Concert of Christian Music in Italy. I was so honored. It was an awesome experience and felt so good to know that my God given talent and hard work brought me to this amazing country.
    
    
12. If you could collaborate with another artist, who would it be?
    Michael W. Smith. He has always been a favorite of mine because of his values as a person and his message in his music.
    
    
13. Are you single? What do you look for in a partner?
    Yes, I'm single. I look for someone who has a great sense of humor and knows how to have fun, family oriented, someone who will understand and respect my career. Most importantly, someone that I can share my faith with.
