Jurassic Garden

Jurassic Garden

Take a trip back in time to the ancient land of Gondwana, and get ready for a fantastic FREE family day of hands-on science fun at the Blue Mountains Botanic Garden Mount Tomah. On the 18 August, Gondwana Garden returns for a second year, filled with science stalls, and some slimy, scaly and furry friends, as part of National Science Week.

The ancient world of Gondwana will be brought to life at the Gondwana Family Garden Day. Hunt for Australian Virtual Reality dinosaurs and megafauna using our FREE Jurassic Garden app. Watch out for the giant, real-life ones, as the thrilling Erth's dinosaurs will be roaming the garden.

This year will include amazing stalls, reptile and wildlife shows and engaging talks from our world-leading plant scientists, which will leave the kids in awe.

'The Blue Mountains is an ancient place, and perfect location to bring the prehistoric world of Gondwana to life" says Lisa Grieve, Manager of Visitor Experience at the Blue Mountains Botanic Garden Mount Tomah.

'Last year was the first time running this popular event, where we had around 1,800 visitors. By getting children excited about science in their own backyard, we hope to inspire the next generation of children to consider science as a career."

Recommended for children from 3 years on, families and science enthusiasts of all ages.
