Head First Acrobats set to mix things up at Fringe World Perth with new show Elixir Revived

Fringe World Perth favourites, Head First Acrobats are set to make their highly-anticipated return to Perth in 2025 with their new show, Elixir Revived, opening at the Aurora Spiegeltent stage in Northbridge's Pleasure Garden on February 1.

The internationally renowned artists behind hit shows, GODZ, Railed and PreHysterical will once again leave Perth gobsmacked with their jaw-dropping stunts, chiselled abs and raunchy humour.

The original smash hit Elixir show won the Best Circus and Physical Theatre Award at the 2018 Adelaide Fringe, followed by a run of sold-out shows all over the world. Next came Railed, a riotous high-energy comedy Western that takes no prisoners, sets the bar on fire, and hightails out of town leaving a trail of broken hearts in its wake, which debuted at Fringe World Perth in 2019. GODZ followed in 2022 and has been taking audiences by storm ever since, winning a slew of awards including Best Circus Fringe World 2022, Adelaide Fringe Critics Circle weekly award 2022 and the People's Choice award at the Melbourne Fringe Festival 2022.

A remake of their very first, award winning show, Elixir Revived, follows four scientists who attempt to create the elixir of life. Working for an authoritarian pharmaceutical corporation, they are forced to test the concoctions on themselves. The mayhem that ensues is the perfect blend of physical comedy and athletic prowess.

"We can't wait to take audiences on a journey into the realm of impossibility. Elixir Revived features without a doubt some of our most dangerous stunts to date - plus our whacky sense of humour, which audiences have come to know and love," says co-founder, breakdancer and internationally acclaimed acrobat, Thomas Gorham.

"Audiences can expect everything they love about the original, but this time around we've gone bigger, bolder and, dare we say, sexier?" says world class street performer turned contemporary circus artist, co-founder and the show's MC Cal Harris.

Known for their knock-out circus and raucous comedy, Head First Acrobats have been wowing Fringe World Perth audiences since 2015 and have grown to become one of the festival's annual staples and highlights. But be warned: their shows sell out fast. Don't say we didn't tell you.
