John Safrans Yarraville Laughs Debut

John Safrans Yarraville Laughs Debut

John Safran will make his debut at the Yarraville Club on Saturday, September 15, bringing his sold-out Comedy Festival show to the new wild west – "Jew Detective: Sarcasm is not a Crime".

Having made a career of showing up where he isn't wanted, Safran is the sleuth behind the award winning true crime series, 'Murder in Mississippi' (titled 'God'll Cut You Down' in the US).

On the Yarraville Laughs stage, he will boldly go where not many comics have gone before, with often hairy, sometimes laugh-out-loud and sometimes poignant anecdotes from his famous encounters with bigots, religious extremists and online trolls.

Safran's gumshoe television includes 'John Safran vs God', 'Music Jamboree', 'Race Relations' and 'The Goddam Election!'.

His new book, 'Depends What You Mean By Extremist: Going Rogue With Australian Deplorables' was shortlisted for Non-Fiction Book of the Year at the Australian Book Industry Awards.
