Biography:

Australian pop talent doesn't get much hotter than James Kannis. With Love 2 Love, James has announced his arrival on the music scene, backing up an already impressive CV, proving both his appeal to the public and his explosive performance style.

Produced in Australia by Sammy K and mastered in New York by the world acclaimed Tom Coyne (Destinys Child, Pink, Jamiroquai), Love 2 Love is a stomping pop/R&B floor-filler set to become one of summer's hottest tracks. The album the single is lifted from, 'Angels On A Hot Tin Roof' is an elixir of acoustic, hip-hop, orchestral, soul and dance - a true representation of James wide range of musical influences and hits stores in late 2006. His unique song writing talents are more than evident on the album, showing for James, its about more than just a great look and a hot voice.

1. How did it feel to hear your song played all over the airwaves?
It's great to be rewarded for doing something you love. It was exciting to hear the track on radio and it's just the beginning.

2. Did you have any pre-conceived ideas about the music industry?
Lots. I have been around it since I was really young and I have seen how hard it can be. I aim high but also stay realistic.

3. Do you write your own songs? What's your inspiration?
Yes. Hmmm? Everything is inspiration. Every moment and every lesson.

4. What music/artists do you listen to when you are not playing your own?
Everything. The albums that get high rotation though are mainly heavy rock or hip hop. Pac, ice t, immortal technique, tool, karnavool, sunk loto, old school incubus, slipknot... the list goes on.

5. What's next? Tour/Album/Single?
Single then album.

6. Was there a moment you contemplated throwing in the towel?
A few. I've had a lot of help and support. Mostly from my folks.

7. Do you prefer performing live or recording?
Writing and recording.

8. What/who was your inspiration to go into the music industry?
I've always just known.

9. What is the biggest challenge you have faced along the way to your musical success?
Emotional ups and downs.

10. What's a typical day like?
Creative, fun

11. What has been your favorite part of becoming a music artist?
There is still a long journey ahead, but so far I would have to say that creativity is the gift that keeps on giving.
