Autumn Harvest Festival at Prahran Market

Autumn Harvest Festival at Prahran Market

The cooler months of Autumn herald many flavour-favourites and being at the forefront of Melbourne's vibrant food culture, Prahran Market will be celebrating with our first Autumn Harvest Festival. Kicking off on 4th and 5th May with a weekend of demonstrations, there will be special events and activities throughout the rest of the month.

Saturday 4th May is a must for wine and meat lovers. Join the conversation at a live recording of Not Serious Wine Chats in Market Square at 1pm and enjoy wine by the glass from Blackhearts & Sparrows as well as food from other Trader pop-ups. Over in the Omega Neil Perry Demonstration Kitchen, Gary's Meats will be demonstrating butchery and preparation of some of this season's favourite cuts.

On the 5th May, visitors will want to visit the Omega Neil Perry kitchen for a series of Trader demonstrations – polenta and cheese by Maker & Monger anyone?

Then, throughout May there will be pop ups, activities and other demonstrations including pickling and preserving with the Social Food Project.

The whole market will be celebrating Autumn with seasonal food offerings, providing a feast for the senses with Autumnal earthy, lush, vibrant and crisp produce.
