Vixens of Fall Scout's Honour

Vixens of Fall Scout's Honour

Following on from the rocketing success of their breezy summer single 'Break it Easy', which spent 11 weeks in The Music Network's Country Hot 50 airplay charts peaking at #6, effervescent sister trio Vixens of Fall are back, this time with a tender tune straight from the heart.

They now unveil a sweet ode titled 'Scout's Honour' which is a bonafide change of pace from their previous high energy tracks. Their tune has indeed changed - and for a very special reason.  'Scout's Honour' is a loving tribute to Nina's newborn baby girl, Scarlett"From the first kick I knew my whole world would revolve around you" sings Nina, already head-over-heels in love with the life stirring inside her. "Like a four leaf clover, I'll be watching over, like a lucky charm just for you" she promises.

When Australia's Queen of country music Gina Jeffreys learned of Scarlett's nickname - 'Scout' - she was inspired to get together and write a song dedicated to the adorable baby girl, the newest addition to the Vixen clan. 'Scout's Honour' was then penned by Gina Jeffreys, Rod McCormack, Vixens of Fall and Nashville hit songwriters Templeton Thompson and Sam Gay.

Produced by multi-award winning Rod McCormack (Paul Kelly, The McClymonts, Wendy Matthews) at The Music Cellar, 'Scout's Honour' is a mothers heartfelt promise to her child, a dedication to love and protect them. An articulation of the universal sentiment felt by all new parents, upon the arrival of their baby into the world.

In 2021 accolades have piled in for the talented trio; they were finalists in the Country category at the Queensland Music Awards, hailed as Most Popular Independent Country Band for the Independent Country Music Awards, and were nominated for the peer voted APRA AMCOS Song of the Year for 2021.  They also charmed audiences when they recently opened for 2021 Golden Guitar New Talent of the Year winner Melody Moko and will be set to do the same when they take the stage at this year's Gympie Music Muster and VDM Festivals.

It's easy to become "Vixated" by this talented trio. Not often do we witness three, strong musical talents from the same family. Yet, Vixens of Fall have proven themselves as Australia's most versatile and popular country music act, adored by both audiences and critics.

Their enchanting and honeyed-voiced tribute 'Scout's Honour' not only heralds the birth of a newly-minted Vixen, but secures the Queensland songstresses as a multi-faceted powerhouse that captivate audiences with their beauty, strength and heart-warming sensitivity.
