Queensland belles Vixens of Fall are back with their brand-new single 'Break It Easy'. The breezy summer tune sees the sassy sisters continue their ascent to the peak of the Australian country scene. 'Break it Easy' follows on from the success of their previous single 'The Long Game', which topped the iTunes Country Singles Chart, and has gathered over 130,000 streams on Spotify.
Written with Australia's very own country queen, Gina Jeffreys and Nashville hit song writers, Sam Gay and Templeton Thompson, the girls say: "Break It Easy tells the tale of a heart that has been broken one too many times and as a new love begins, there can be a bit of hesitation to dive in deep. Taking chances and loving wholly and solely can prove to be magical. However, wariness plays on one's mind and the strong desire to let your new love know that if they're going to break your heart, they'll need to break it easy, is palpable."
The song was produced by Rod McCormack at his Music Cellar Studios on the NSW Central Coast. Rod has worked with many great artists including Paul Kelly, The McClymonts, Lee Kernaghan, Adam Harvey and Beccy Cole to name a few.
The video for 'Break It Easy' was produced by Jazmyn Bowman of Jazmyn Produces, and shot throughout Gympie and Rainbow Beach in Queensland. The carefree vibe of the song is supported by driving shots of a Kombi on the roads of the Queensland coast. The video is all about fun and adventure. The sisters say: "It's about finding the freedom and happiness in life and embracing the journey; you never know where it will bring you. The cosmic vibes, the 'go with the flow' kind of feeling. Letting yourself jump and enjoy the ride."
The new single is set to capitalise on Vixens of Fall's recent success with their 2020 single 'The Long Game', which was streamed in 92 countries and added to stations including Kix Country, 98.9 FM, KiK FM Mareeba, Australian Country Radio and The Wolf. 'The Long Game' was also added to the Country Chill Spotify playlist and peaked at #2 on AIR Charts for 100% independent singles and #3 on independent label singles.
Vixens of Fall have just finished a support slot with 2021 Golden Guitar winning Melody Moko and have also gained some major nods from the country music fraternity, having been awarded the Most Popular Independent Country Band at the 2021 Independent Country Music Awards.
2021 is looking to be a busy year for Vixens of Fall, with many shows lined up, including a coveted spot on the bill at the VDMFest in Bileola in October. In the meantime, the sisters are bringing their sassy sound and new summer anthem to stages up and down the east coast. 'Break it Easy' has a message as warm as the summer sun, delivered with a refreshing sea breeze to blow back your hair. And who doesn't enjoy a bit of that?
