Terrible Signal are back with another heavenly pop hit. 'Half the Person' encapsulates everything great about the Melbourne band lead by songwriting machine Vincent BuchananSimpson.
Clocking in at just under 2 and a half minutes, the song is jam packed with melodic hooks that manage to be extremely catchy without ever sounding contrived. Driven by an uncompromising narrative depicting the crumbling of a friendship, and coloured with rich baroque instrumentation, 'Half the Person' is the kind of instant-classic banger that sticks in your head from the first listen.
The instruments were recorded by Casey Hartnett, who is known for his work on King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard's 'Polygondwanaland'. Vocals were recorded at Flightless studios by Vincent, who also played everything on the recording. 'Half the Person' is the fourth single to be released off Terrible Signal's much anticipated sophomore LP 'The Window', coming out October 2020 on Heart of the Rat Records.
