Tame Impala Breathe Deeper

Following his recent ARIA Awards haul including Album of the Year, Best Group, Best Rock Album, Engineer of the Year and Producer of the Year, Tame Impala (Kevin Parker) shares the official video for Breathe Deeper. The track is taken from The Slow Rush, Parker's fourth studio album which was released in February via Island Records Australia to worldwide critical acclaim.

Directed by Butt Studio, the visual accompaniment for Breathe Deeper pairs 3D and expressive drawn animation techniques in an abstract and kaleidoscopic landscape.

Tame Impala was recently nominated for two GRAMMY Awards for Best Alternative Album and Best Rock Song for the single Lost In Yesterday. This marks the third nomination in the Alternative category for Parker, having previously been nominated for Currents and Lonerism. Earlier this year, Parker was nominated for two Billboard Music Awards and an American Music Award (AMA).

Friday 18 December, Tame Impala has released a new limited edition colour vinyl release of The Slow Rush, ahead of the InnerSpeaker 10 Year Anniversary Edition on Friday 26 March.

Parker has emerged as one of the most influential voices of the last decade. His latest album serves as a deep reflection on the passage of time. "The Slow Rush is an extraordinarily detailed opus," said Pitchfork. "I have to marvel that all this sound and history comes from Parker alone, picking every string and twisting every knob."

With The Slow Rush, Parker scored his second #1 album in Australia, his highest charting album to date in both the US and UK, and 14 top 10 chart positions around the world. The Slow Rush has achieved Gold accreditation in Australia, with singles Borderline claiming Platinum and Lost In Yesterday Gold status.

The news follows on from Tame Impala's recent cover of Edwyn Collins' A Girl Like You alongside original Breathe Deeper for triple j's Like A Version. Recent visual feasts also include BBC Radio 1's Annie Mac Session of Is It True and a cover of Nelly Furtado's Say It Right, Elephant and Is It True captured for FIFA 2021, a performance as 'Tame Impala Soundsystem' for NPR Tiny Desk and Borderline for Jimmy Fallon Live.

Parker has also recently shared Blood Orange's remix of Borderline, Four Tet's remix Is It True, and his remix of 070 Shake's Guilty Conscience. This year, he has collaborated with Mike Skinner on The Streets track, Call My Phone Thinking I'm Doing Nothing Better and together with Oneohtrix Point Never, he contributed to The Weeknd's latest album, After Hours.

Thanks to the ravenous demand of fans for a transcendent live performance, Tame Impala has headlined festivals and theatres around the world and released four full length albums - InnerSpeaker, Lonerism, Currents and The Slow Rush. As a writer and producer Parker has collaborated with Travis Scott, SZA, Lady Gaga, Mark Ronson, Kanye West, Kali Uchis, Theophilus London, Miguel, A$AP Rocky and more.
