Still Woozy, born Sven Gamsky, returns today to share a new single. "Window" is a playful and quirky left field pop track that highlights Woozy's talents as a singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist and includes an ear-catching Marvin Gaye sample. The single, released via Still Woozy Productions/Interscope Records, is Woozy's first release of 2020 coming after a breakout 2019 that saw the release of Gamsky's debut EPLately, standout performances at Coachella, Governor's Ball, Lollapalooza, and Austin City Limits as well as a sold-out North American headlining tour.
The Bay Area native who now resides in Portland, OR is inspired by influences ranging from the lush sounds of Department of Eagles to the steady grooves of D'Angelo and blends everything to create a quasi genre-less sound that acts more as an environment to live in. Following his headline tour in 2019, he released his debut EP, Lately, a five song project self-recorded in his garage that sports collaborations from Omar Apollo and captures the diversity in his sound. The EP acts asa brilliant introduction from an artist who crafts sunny, psychedelic pop songs by fusing a unique blend of electronic and acoustic elements. Lately includes singles "Habit," which has garnered 58 million streams since December, "LAVA," and "Ipanema." Listen to "Window" above and stay tuned for more from Still Woozy coming soon.
