If that surname sounds familiar, let me explain. Rob Snarski is possibly better known as the singer of The Blackeyed Susans and SnarskiCircusLindyBand and Mark Snarski was the singer-songwriter of The Jackson Code. The brothers considered by those in the know to possess the richest voices since Scott Walker wandered into the recording studio and sang "The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore". In fact when their old pal Dave McComb [lead singer of The Triffids] saw their first band Chad's Tree perform, he berated the brothers with these kind words – "I hate you guys, your band sounds like Television and you sing like The Walker Brothers!".
Surprisingly, Waiting For The Bell is the first release recorded under the moniker Snarski vs Snarski. Here Mark sings Rob and Rob sings Mark's songs ~ from Chad's Tree to The Jackson Code, Snarski & Luscombe, Nearly Brothers, So-Called Friends and their collected solo works. Included is a version of "Bring Yourself Home To Me", which was originally recorded by The Jackson Code for The Things You Need and famously covered by Jimmy Little on The Messenger.
