Science in the Wild

Science in the Wild

Venomous snakes, nutty scientists and dinosaurs will take over the Australian Botanic Garden Mount Annan on the 11 August 2018 as part of National Science Week.

Science in the Wild is a free event for all ages, where kids can discover the fun of science and enjoy learning about plants and animals in the stunning outdoors. This year showcases scientists at work, amazing animal displays, fantastic chemical concoctions and much more.

'The Australian Botanic Garden Mount Annan is the scientific hub of Sydney's South West. It's the perfect location to get kids engaged in science, and inspire them to become the next generation of revolutionary scientists" says Christian Eckardt, Community Programs Team Leader at the Australian Botanic Garden Mount Annan.

'This year will be even bigger and better, with superhero acrobats, roaming life-sized dinosaurs and engaging science displays from Fizzics education"

The Gardens are also running two extra events for adults this year as part of national science week, Stars over the Garden and Secrets of the Seed Vault.

Recommended for children from 3 years on, families and science enthusiasts of all ages.
