Interview with Robbi Jan
Question: What originally inspired the idea of Miracle Mindset?
Robbi Jan: I started thinking about how much of our lives and the world around us are shaped purely by our outlook and our attitudes. Oftentimes, we see exactly what we are looking for, whether that is positive or negative!
I have recently decided to create a YouTube series focusing on the same topics. It will be the same quality content"just on a different platform. The purpose of creating the YouTube series is to explore health, wellness and have conversations about real-life things. The nitty-gritty. I already have a presence on YouTube, an incredibly supportive community, so for me, it's a natural progression and I am going to focus all my efforts on that. The saying "you can't pour from an empty cup" reminds me that it's better to do one thing very well than lots of things not very well. I will be posting health, wellness, and personal development content, as well as fun vlogs along the way!
Question: Is there a message you hope listeners take from Miracle Mindset?
Robbi Jan: Mainly, I'll be focusing on the idea of positivity and how a positive mindset can completely change your life. I truly believe that, and I think you need to believe in yourself wholeheartedly in order to succeed.
Question: Can you tell us about your Ultimate At Home Booty Guide?
Robbi Jan: Of course! I created these guides in conjunction with a personal trainer, with the lifestyle of a busy woman in mind. The goal is to build your lower body"while still incorporating cardio. The great thing about this workout is that you can do it from anywhere, with no equipment. It's 3 workouts per week, which is realistic for most people. It's not overwhelming. Everybody is different, so results will always be different. But if you work hard, then you will LOVE the results. I have had an overwhelmingly positive response from women all around the world saying that they love their bodies and that these workouts are fun.
Question: How has LA influenced your career?
Robbi Jan: I moved from Australia to the United States nearly two years ago, right before the pandemic. Although that has been a bit isolating, I've met so many incredible people here, including my boyfriend, Alex. I have had so many opportunities here that I may not have had elsewhere, and I am so grateful to be here. I truly believe people in LA come here with a "hustle mentality." It's so competitive and expensive to live here that I find people here work really hard. The grind doesn't stop"and that's inspiring.
Question: What is the biggest challenge you have faced along the way to your success?
Robbi Jan: I think anyone on social media relates to the idea of comparing yourself to others, especially influencers. There are so many beautiful women in the space that it's hard not to look at someone else and say, "Why don't I look like that?".
So often we are mean to ourselves, or we put ourselves down without even consciously thinking about it. How many times have we thought "I'll do that later when I'm in better shape" or "I wish I had what she has"? BUT when you flip the script and think about those sentences, as if someone else had said that to you ("You should do that later, when you're in better shape" or "I wish you had what she has"), you would be so offended! Imagine a girlfriend, or your partner saying that to you! Heck no. So, if you wouldn't stand for it from them, why should you stand for it from yourself? I'm a big believer that thoughts become things, so when you change the way you think (and talk) to yourself, you open up a whole world of possibilities for yourself.
Question: Can you provide your tips for creating a successful schedule?
Robbi Jan: CONSISTENCY. I know it sounds cliche, but it's so true. However, you can't be consistent if you don't know what your purpose is. If you're waking up overwhelmed, or unsure, or unmotivated, then start with writing a list. If you have NO PLAN, and NO intention, you won't be able to feel productive because you won't know where to start. If you don't know where you're going, you're not going to know how to get there. Set your intentions to move in that direction. Put pen to paper and write down your goals and watch how things change for you. Where do you see yourself in 12 months? 5 years?
Question: What's a typical day like?
Robbi Jan: My best, happiest, and most productive days are the days where I DON'T snooze my alarm, and instead of picking up my phone and mindlessly scrolling on Instagram or checking my emails for half an hour, I open the curtains. I let the sun in, I put on music, and make the bed. I sit down with my devotional, and that fills my spirit with encouragement. I then write a list of goals/tasks I need to achieve that day, so that way before I've even left my bedroom, I have a purpose. If you don't have a purpose, you're not going to feel fulfilled. Typically I'll work out, then shower, do my makeup and hair, and get ready for the day.
Question: What's next, for you?
Robbi Jan: Honestly, I have a goal list as long as my arm, but my current goals are to continue on the track I'm on with social media"Youtube, TikTok, and Instagram (@robbijan). I will also be launching a brand in the next year, which is really exciting. My personal goals are to be able to visit my family in Australia as soon as possible. In the next 5 years, I would love to have a family. I'm one of 6 kids, so growing up in a big family really made me want my own.
Question: Can you share your socials? (links please)
Robbi Jan: Of course! My
Instagram,
YouTube, and my
TikTok.
