-VOCAL' is the first official single to be lifted from forthcoming album -Electric', released 12th July

-VOCAL' is the new single from Pet Shop Boys.  The song is taken from the forthcoming Stuart Price produced album -Electric', which is released through Pet Shop Boys' own x2 Recordings (via Kobalt Label Services) in July.   -VOCAL' follows -AXIS', the first track to appear from -Electric', which was made available to download in April to a flurry of critical acclaim around the world.

-VOCAL' is one of the many highlights of -Electric', and has already received support from the world's number one DJ, Armin Van Buuren, on his top 10 podcast -A State of Trance'.  Dave Pearce, from BBC Radio 2, also gave the track its first radio play last week  - BBC Radio 2 is one of the UK's  biggest and most popular CHR radio stations.

The short film has been produced and directed by the filmmaker and photographer, Joost Vandeburg. He has created it using authentic amateur film footage shot at various raves in the late 80s, along with some footage from the Haçienda in time found its own freedom with a new culture epitomised by dance music and raves: "It's in the music/It's in the song/And the feeling of the warmth around us all is so strong."

Pet Shop Boys are currently on the worldwide -Electric' tour, for which Q Magazine recently gave 4 stars in an early review.   -Electric' features nine tracks in total – eight brand new Pet Shop Boys' songs plus a cover of Bruce Springsteen's -The Last To Die'.  The result is as uncompromising a collection of dance anthems as Pet Shop Boys have ever made.

-Electric' will be released in Australia on Friday, July 12th.
