Multi-award winning Australian duo O'Shea (Mark & Jay O'Shea) and Midnight Oil's Rob Hirst have made a tremendous impact with their new single, The Truth Walks Slowly (In The Countryside), with the music video receiving more than 550,000 views and 16,000 shares on Facebook, also reaching #1 on the iTunes Music Video Chart (all genres) and Top 10 on the iTunes Country Singles Chart.
The release of the song is a poignant tribute to Queensland farmer George Bender, who took his own life late in 2015, following a decade-long battle with coal seam gas companies. The accompanying video, produced by Mark O'Shea, features personal photographs and footage of Mr Bender on the family farm.
Fans and music industry alike have been so moved by the video, they have rallied to the cause, with everyone from Missy Higgins to Alan Jones and Russell Crowe sharing with their audience and social media followers.
O'Sheas' The Truth Walks Slowly (In The Countryside) featuring Rob Hirst is available digitally now.
The track is also included on O'Shea's latest album The Famine and The Feast - Out Now through Sony Music Entertainment.
