No Label Necessary Letter To My Ex

No Label Necessary Letter To My Ex

Hard-hitting Hip-hip duo No Label Necessary return with their latest single 'Letter To My EX', an unforgettable and lighthearted shout-out to everyone that has experienced a bad relationship, premiered last night via triple j's Unearthed TOPS.

Returning after a hiatus, the pair make a strong come back with a bouncy hip hop track driven by Spanish guitar riffs, rhythmic soundscapes and retrospective wordplay. "Letter To My Ex and its release has been kind of monumental for us, being our first music video back in over a year and also just the whole process behind the project's creation. 808Antho came through with the beat and we knew we wanted to have fun with it", explains Thony Remy.

Releasing alongside a film clip showcasing a different side to the duo, the pair wanted to make light of an otherwise darker topic. The video follows the narrative of two men depicted as puppets in a series of roleplayed scenes in everyday life situations. "Our aim was solely to get people laughing and to feel good about themselves, especially if they've ever been in the situation where they've had to leave a toxic partner to better their lives", says Creepah.

The pair have turned heads both locally and internationally with their raw and bold take on the genre. Grabbing the attention of major cultural influencers such as Worldstar Hip Hop, Shade 45 (Eminem/Shady Records' Radio Station) and supporting an array of influential hip-hop artists like Tech N9ne, R.A The Rugged Man, Merkules, Futuristic and Chris Webby. The duo have also received attention and praise from The Edge Radio, Triple R, 4ZZZ alongside play on triple j and triple j Unearthed.

No matter who you are, or where you're from, there's no label necessary to join in on the ride.
