Before heading out on his national tour this week, POND front-man Nicholas Allbrook reveals the video for his single Advance. The song is the first taste from his forthcoming second solo album, announced today as -Pure Gardiya' and set for release May 27th via Spinning Top Records. The video accompanies the news that Allbrook will be joined on tour by an array of local talent.
In Adelaide, Glass Skies and Druid Fluids will join the mix, while the Melbourne show will be opened by psych-pop outfit Broadway Sounds and electric piano duo Footy. In Sydney Allbrook will be joined by Luke O'Farrell from The Laurels, performing under his solo project Through The Forest Door. Finally, Allbrook's hometown show in Fremantle will be opened by Mining Tax and Spinning Top label mate Peter Bibby.
Directed by fellow WA creative MATT SAV, the video shows Allbrook unhinged in a kitsch world, where everything appears golden and garnished. Advance is the lead single from -Pure Gardiya', the second full-length release to come from the prolific musician, following on from his debut LP -Ganough, Wallis and Fatuna' and 2015's -Walrus' EP. Ahead of his sophomore release, Allbrook is bringing his stripped back live show to intimate venues around the country. Tickets on sale now.
