Jam-packed with the singer-songwriter's trademark swagger, 'Name on It' is full of good vibes. "Every little love song / And everything I can't resist / Girl it's got your name on it," he croons, like a love drunk Romeo falling head over heels.
"I wanted to highlight how love can completely upturn and transform a person's outlook on life for the better, filling spaces we never knew were empty," Nathan explains. When teamed up with co-writer and producer, Alex Mather, the pair have no trouble crafting loved up bops. "Alex and I have spent a lot of time in the studio together recording and songwriting, and we have many shared values and experiences when it comes to life and love."
From the beginning drum roll to Nathan's closing vocal runs, 'Name On It' demands the unwavering attention of any die hard contemporary country fan. Country music giant, Keith Urban - who maintains correspondence with Nathan - praised the singer's latest work, encouraging him to "keep it coming".
The dynamic vocals and the song's lively tone make it a certifiable hit, blending contemporary country charm with a polished, 'road tripping' vibe. Recorded between Nashville and Australia, the instrumentation is world class, and the vocals are flawless - with the duo spending over 8 hours dialling in the hooks to perfection.
Nathan even brought his real-life muse on set for the song's video clip. "I was excited to feature my wife in this project. She's been the biggest source of inspiration behind my song writing and has been on the sidelines supporting me since day one, so to have the opportunity to work with her so closely on something I love has only brought us even closer together."
With a fresh and engaging style, the singer-songwriter has notched up close to 1 million streams. His previous hit, 'I'm Calling Shotgun', garnered additions to numerous Spotify and Apple Music editorial playlists, while cruising into the #9 spot on the AMRAP regional airplay chart and #24 on the CountryTown Hot 50 airplay chart.
With dates in the calendar at the upcoming Denman Food and Wine Festival, A Night in Nashville in Orange and Tamworth Country Music Festival, Nathan is stoked to be bringing his dynamic performance to the stage. He's in fine form having just played a sold-out show in his hometown of Wagga Wagga and giving an unforgettable debut performance at the iconic Deni Ute Muster.
Featuring highly contagious rhythm and memorable hooks, 'Name On It' offers an easy listening experience that's perfect for any playlist celebrating newfound love, sunlit days and good times.
