Mylk Holy Moly

Mylk Holy Moly

With the release of new track HOLY MOLY comes the news that Melbourne's alt-rock band, MYLK will be releasing their debut EP EXCURSION on November 13.

"Holy Moly was inspired by a really negative experience we had with someone who told us that they could ensure that we "made it" in the music industry. We were younger and naive, and thankfully escaped this situation relatively unscathed" says MYLK.

Lead singer Nathaniel Peacock wrote the songs with fellow band members Harry Bohmer (Guitar), Julian Addati (Bass) Ewen Stewart (Drums) and the EP was produced by Colin Wynne of Thirty Mill Studios in Melbourne.

MYLK's debut EP encapsulates the young band's successful journey from four school friends playing together for fun at home, to performing sell out shows on the East Coast. Their versatility as musicians and songwriters is highlighted throughout the EP and especially on alt- rock track "Holy Moly" to the breezy indie-pop vibe of 'Snooze'.

Reflecting on their debut EP, MYLK says "It seems so strange to be releasing our debut EP and having to watch the reaction through a computer screen, but even though there is this disconnection, the support we have seen so far has almost made us forget that we're playing gigs from our couches and broadcasting it through a phone."
