Award winning country duo, McAlister Kemp, arrived in Nashville on Monday to begin recording their 3rd Album.
On the first day, as they started working on their very first track in Rukkus Studio, smoke began to fill the room.
Like any good muso's, the guys grab all their instruments and headed outside. In under 5 minutes the fire department were onsite and quickly had the situation under control. It turns out that one of the keyboard speakers had overheated and caught fire. No major damage was done to the studio and no one was hurt.
Thanks to for speedy work of Nashville's finest, the guys were given the all clear and were back recording in under 3 hours.
Ironically the track they were playing at the time is titled Night on fire.
While is Nashville, McAlister Kemp will be doing a showcase at 3rd & Lindsley on July 18. On their return home they will be playing at Gympie Muster on Friday 23 August and have just been added to the already sensational line up at CMC Rocks Townsville on September 28.
McAlister Kemp's eagerly awaited third album will be released in January with ABC Music and with thanks to Nashville fire department.
