Celebrated Australian singer songwriter Kate Ceberano was thrilled to receive her Order Of Australia medal last Friday.
The ceremony was held at Melbourne's Government House, and the medal presented to Kate by The Governor of Victoria, The Hon. Linda Dessau AM.
The Order Of Australia comes as Kate celebrates 35 years in the Australian music industry, marked via release of the stunning ANTHOLOGY album, which debuted in the national ARIA Albums Chart at #9.
ANTHOLOGY is Kate's twenty-fourth album, a comprehensive summary of her back catalogue laid out in a three CD / 53 track package.
It draws on material from albums such as -Bear Witness', -You've Always Got The Blues', -Brave', -Think About It', -Jesus Christ Superstar Cast Album', -Blue Box', -Pash', -Nine Lime Avenue', -Kensal Road' and many more.
Featuring hits, rarities, live tracks, special projects, and duets with some of the biggest names in the business – John Farnham, Ronan Keating, Paul Kelly, Wendy Matthews and David Campbell.
Kate also starred in the sold out national APIA concert tour earlier in the year, and is currently on tour with Paul Grabowsky delighting audiences nationally with their 'Love Songs" show, which sees reinterpretations of some of the great love songs of the past 50 years.
2017 is looking to be another big year for Kate with exciting projects taking shape!
