Gondwana Choirs: Festival of Summer Voices

 Gondwana Choirs presents the inaugural Festival of Summer Voices from 18-21 January to showcase the extraordinary talents of young choristers, conductors and composers from around Australia.

 

Led by Gondwana Choirs Founder and Artistic Director Lyn Williams OAM, the series of five uplifting concerts celebrate 20 years of Gondwana National Choirs. Concerts include:

Concert 1: Summer Voices Opening Gala | Wednesday, 18 January at 7pm at Sir John Clancy Auditorium, UNSW. Experience the power of Gondwana Choirs in full flight.

Concert 2: The Idea of North in Concert | Friday, 20 January at 7pm at Sir John Clancy Auditorium, UNSW. Enjoy a beautifully distinct sound and style, crossing many musical genres in an exciting and surprising way.

Concert 3 & 5: A Cappella Academy | Saturday, 21 January at 3pm & 6.30pm at Verbrugghen Hall, Sydney Conservatorium of Music. A celebration of 100 years of contemporary a cappella music from the Andrews Sisters, Queen, Bee Gees to Pitch Perfect!

Concert 4: Gondwana Chorale in Recital | Saturday, 21 January at 5.15pm at Music Workshop, Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Hear Gondwana Chorale, Australia's national youth choir, at the peak of their vocal prowess before they embark on a USA tour.
