Elk Road, Australian solo artist and producer Rory Garton Smith, has released his new video for -Hanging By A Thread' today. The track features vocalist Natalie Foster and the video follows his appearance on triple j's Like A Version last week. Elk Road performed his original -Hanging By A Thread' as well as a cover of Flight Facilities' -Crave You' with vocalist Lisa Mitchell, weaving in elements of fellow Perth act Tame Impala's -The Less I Know The Better' to an incredible reaction. The performance has been viewed over 1 million times on triple j's Facebook and Youtube, with over 25K reactions and 10K comments on the former.

The video was created by Sydney production company Entropico and directed by Sydney-based photographer, videographer and film director EVO.
On the video Elk Road remarks; "Amazing to see an artistic interpretation of my track, love the choreography and life the dancers brought to it, and particularly loved the colour schemes throughout. Fantastic!"
Director EVO commented; 'The concept was a riff on Elk Road's single artwork – jagged rock formations in hyper colour.
The video is a play between the human body and the natural landscape.
It's about escapism and escape – with a creepy twist. I wanted it to sensual, tactile and weird."
-Hanging By A Thread' has been streamed over 700K times since release in September and was added to rotation on triple j. Rory describes -Hanging By A Thread' as 'a Summery-Spring time anthem". Rory co-wrote the song with Johnathon Boulet and Ali Barter, then teamed up with the talented Nat Foster (of Tully on Tully) to finish and feature on the track.
-Hanging By A Thread' was the follow up track to -Not To Worry' and -Lights' which have been played on stages all around Australia including Splendour In The Grass and Curveball at Carriage Works as a part of Vivid Festival, where Rory shared the stage with the infamous Zhu and a huge amount of brilliant Australian talent including Basenji, Cosmo's Midnight, JOY., Nicole Millar and Yuma X.
Upcoming shows include Arcadia (with Alison Wonderland/Leftfield/Carmada) in Perth, and the annual Southbound festival in Busselton (with Peking Duk, MSTRKRFT, Nicole Millar, Cat Empire and loads more).
