Larger than life UK rapper Big Narstie has joined forces with Grammy-award winning global superstar Ed Sheeran and NY rapper Papoose to bring us 'Groundwork' via Dice Recordings.
The single features Big Narstie's grime beginnings, Sheeran's iconic vocals and Papoose's lyrical dexterity, and tells us a story about hard work despite appearances. 'Groundwork' explores the grind that hides behind the glamour of the spotlight, a sentiment experienced by each of them, ever since the early days of their careers. In fact, Sheeran and Big Narstie's relationship goes way back, so much so that Sheeran is actually the Godfather to Big Narstie's daughter.
Already receiving over +2M streams on Spotify and +1M on Youtube since its recent release, 'Groundwork' is a rap, grime and melodic dream. "You wouldn't really ask for a crazier synergy than Papoose, Ed Sheeran and myself on the same song, you get me? Bring on the revolution!" says Big Narstie.
Big Narstie is an influential name in the first wave of Grime in the UK, being the first UK artist to tour under that genre twice over, has gone on to win a BAFTA award, is now in the 5th season of his own reality-TV show 'The Big Narstie Show', and presents a weekly national show on BBC R1Xtra. He has received +100M Spotify streams and +56M views on YouTube and collaborated with Robbie Williams, Professor Green, Tion Wayne, Giggs, Wretch 32, holds a Top Ten Gold Record with Craig David and has won the most UMA awards of any artist. Big Narstie has become a household name in the UK, and now he's ready to make a name for himself in the southern hemisphere.
