DULCIE make a vibrant return for 2023 with new single 'TEST DRIVE'
In a similar vein to previous DULCIE releases, 'Test Drive' captures the emotional depth of relationships, and their nuances, delivered through an honest lens.
"'Test Drive' captures the feeling of being in a one-sided relationship - the kind where you doubt your partner's intentions are aligned with yours, or if you're being led on."
DULCIE
Written and recorded between Brisbane (with ARIA Award winning producer Konstantin Kersting (Tones and I, The Jungle Giants) and Perth with longtime collaborator Joel Quartermain (Eskimo Joe, Meg Mac), DULCIE have expanded their sound this time further, thriving during the process.
"We're so grateful to have brought this track to life with such incredible producers. Joel Quatermain really helped us to find the hooks in our original demo and his ideas in the studio give it such a catchy pop feel.
Working with Kon to finish it off felt so serendipitous. We've been wanting to work with him for so long and after meeting at bigsound we were able to tee up a studio session! There were a few extra sounds we wanted to add and Kon's layering of synths and vocal effects give it that extra push and drive that we love!"

The band's touring impact in 2022 was also impressive, coming out of lockdowns to enjoy sold out tours with King Stingray, Ocean Alley and Amy Shark - where they enjoyed exposure to 56,000 audience members combined - as well as their own East Coast headline run of shows preceding an incredibly successful debut at BIGSOUND in September.
