With their late-release single snaring a spot on a stack of 2014's end-of-year charts, Sydney's favourite twins have clocked almost 200 000 plays on SoundCloud, reaching the #1 most played track status on Triple J and touted as 'an act to watch" in 2015. The 'Snare' clip premiered on Majestic Casual on Friday, quickly gathering well over 100k views and melds themes of exploration with an accessible and fun road trip, perfectly complementing the R'n'B laden offering from the duo. Today the pair announce a national tour to accompany to the blissfully layered single, promising a tight and dynamic offering, honed from performances at Beyond The Valley, Ouija Beats, Splendour In The Grass, Outside In festival and more.
Co-directed and co-produced by award winning Chester Buchanan and industry connoisseur, Finnegan Boyle, the clip follows a young man on a solo drive until the car mysteriously fills with his ex-girlfriends to the point of a literal overflow.
The twin brothers from Sydney first came to attention through their mature and expansive remixes, reworking the best business of Anna Lunoe, Snakadaktal, JaysWays and Destiny's Child; bringing on waves of SoundCloud plays in the hundreds of thousands. Amongst this slew of tinkerings, the official -Sleepless' rework was chosen by Future Classic A&Rs and Flume himself for official release making audiences hungry for the release of the duo's first original tune -Phantasm' ft. Nicole Millar, which made tidal waves in the blogosphere.
