Following the release of his infectious single 'COMMUNICATE' featuring Indonesian Award winning electronic artist Jevin Julian earlier this year, CHISEKO returns today with the genre-blending track 'STAY' via Say Less and Warner Music Australia.
Gaining a reputation for a distinct musical style, CHISEKO has worked with producer Tentendo on this track to continue to push creative boundaries.
Speaking further on the new single, CHISEKO said: "My favourite thing about working on this song was being able to link up with Tentendo who I wanted to collaborate with for a long time. The song came together naturally and his production skills really elevated the soundscape. Having Annalisa come in and help out with backing vocals on the hook was the icing on the cake."
Earlier this year, CHISEKO participated in an eight-day writing camp in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. During this time, he connected with seven other artists from across the Warner Music Group, marking the first time these divisions had collaborated on such a comprehensive music camp. After the trip, CHISEKO traveled to the Philippines, where he took part in writing sessions with Playertwo and also joined them on stage at the WE PLAY HERE festival.
CHISEKO will debut his headline show in November, with his hometown performance at Si Paradiso in Perth on November 15 selling out in under 48 hours. Following that, he will perform free shows at Section 8 in Melbourne on November 28 and Golden Age Cinema in Sydney on November 30.
With the progressive sound of KAYTRANADA, infectious groove of Anderson Paak, and the ease and comfort of artists like Q-tip, Cordae and Mos Def, CHISEKO crafts a unique and additive sonic experience. Chiseko set the standards high with his debut single 'Juice' sitting at 8.5M Spotify streams. CHISEKO has since supported FKJ, Winston Surfshirt, Yung Gravy and Boo Seeka as well as sleeping out two headline shows and performing six packed showcases across BIGSOUND and SXSW.
Simultaneously playful and heartbreaking, CHISEKO's lyrics touch on all universal aspects of the human experience, making his discography feel like returning home. "I make music that exists somewhere in between a sunset drive with your hair bowling in the wind and a sweaty rave in an underground basement", said CHISEKO.
