Bonnie Anderson Signs to Sony Music

Sony Music Entertainment Australia are pleased to announce the signing of Bonnie Anderson who shot to fame after winning the first season of the Seven Networks Australia's Got Talent in 2007 at the age of 12 years old.

Since winning the talent show in 2007, Bonnie decided that rather than be swept up in the media bandwagon and subsequent offers of recording and management contracts, she wanted to put her future career on hold and focus on -just being a kid for a while' and continue performing live and honing and developing her skill as an artist, and the direction she wants to take musically.

At the age of only just 17 she toured as a backing vocalist with some of the biggest national and international acts including; Jimmy Barnes, Diesel, Vanessa Amorosi, Kate Ceberano and Kasey Chambers. At the age of 14 she toured with Aussie music rock legend Jimmy Barnes also as a backing vocalist, and over the past 2 years has performed at more than 130 live shows.

'I am delighted to sign Bonnie to Sony Music and we look forward to developing her recording career. Bonnie has immense talent and already just at 17 years old has developed her performance skills through extensive work in live shows around the country. When she performed her showcase in the Sony Music studios, I decided then and there I wanted to sign her to the label and work together." said Denis Handlin AM, Sony Music Entertainment Chairman & CEO Australia & New Zealand and President, Asia.

Following on from her stand out audition on AGT, Bonnie captivated audiences all over Australia with her amazing voice singing the power ballad, Listen at the Grand Final of AGT. Bonnie now firmly has her sights set on the future.

Recently Bonnie collaborated with Justice Crew who are this week's ARIA #1 chart toppers, on their take of the smash hit -Gonna Make You Sweat' which will be featured by Channel TEN as the signature track for their forthcoming show, Everybody Dance Now. She has also been writing with pop supremos DNA for her album out later in the year.

'It's a dream come true to be working with Denis and the Sony Music team. I can't wait for what the future will bring. It's surreal to be working alongside artists I have spent my life looking up too". Bonnie said upon signing with Sony.

Ralph Carr who manages Bonnie said 'I am thrilled to be working with Denis and the Sony Music team again. I think that Bonnie, at the age of 17, is an exceptional talent, and will have an incredible impact on the music world."
