Sydney born pop artist Andrew Lambrou, selected to represent Cyprus at the 67th Eurovision Song Contest, releases his entry song 'Break A Broken Heart'.

Lambrou is eligible to represent Cyprus due to his Greek / Cypriot descent and will proudly fly the flag of his heritage country with support from his loving family and community in Australia.

Andrew will join Australia's entrant Voyager from Western Australia, giving his home country two artists to cheer on when the song contest gets underway in Liverpool, UK this May.

'Break A Broken Heart' is everything you could want from a Eurovision song. It's full of drama, emotion, and heart-wrenching lyrics. Andrew delivers an incredible vocal performance of the song which will no doubt put him in good stead for the contest.

You lift me up and leave me in the gutter
Tear me up and move on to another
I'm torn apart but I am a survivor
You can't, you can't break a broken heart

"I'm so excited to announce that I will be representing Cyprus at the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest! I'm so thrilled to go on this journey, let's do this!!" Lambrou said on the announcement.

Andrew Lambrou (24) was selected to compete in the Eurovision Australia Decides 2022 on the Gold Coast in February last year and performed a stellar version of his song 'Electrify'. It was the first step in an ambition to perform at the contest he's loved since he was young boy. "I've grown up watching Eurovision with my family, admiring all that goes into it and seeing artists show their craft to the world, and to be a part of this show is like a dream come true," he said.

Andrew's passion for music started at the early age of 5 when he attended AMS (Australian Music School) learning to play the piano. It was through this time that he also began to sing, entering eisteddfods and growing in confidence as a performer on stage. With the encouragement and support of his parents, Andrew attended La Voce School of Contemporary Singing where he found his true voice. Continuing to perform every month, learning new songs and enjoying the process, Andrew decided to start sharing his performances on social media.  It's here that his world changed. Lambrou has since built a 1.4 million-strong fan base across Tik Tok (over 7 million likes!), Instagram, and YouTube.

Signing a publishing deal with Sony Music Publishing at the age of 17 opened a lot of doors for Lambrou. It connected him with fellow musicians to write with and helped him discover his own sound. Spending three months in Los Angeles, constantly writing and taking the influences that he loved in his life and writing them down on a piece of paper, partnered with the style of melodies that came natural to him was the key. He's now an artist who knows what makes 'Andrew Lambrou' music.

In 2020 Andrew signed with independent Australian label City Pop Records. Run by music industry legend Michael Chugg and A&R savant Andrew Stone, Lambrou has released four singles, including his 2022 Eurovision entry 'Electrify', with combined streams of over 2 million. On the announcement of Andrew representing Cyprus at Eurovision 2023, Andrew Stone said "Chuggi and I are really looking forward to this partnership and opportunity for Andrew! He's a great performer and the complete all-round package. We know he'll do both Cyprus and Australia extremely proud! We'd also like to thank the CYBC Eurovision Committee, our partners in Greece, Panik Records, and Andrew's Management team for making this happen."
