Paint your own animation cels of line-drawn scenes and characters inspired by Disney in ACMI's own Ink and Paint Workshop.
A playful activity for kids and kids at heart. Paint your own animation cels of line-drawn scenes and characters inspired by Walt Disney in ACMI's own ink and paint workshop. Drawing on the distinctive vibrant colours in classic Walt Disney films you can create your own colourful film-still to take home, or bring an animated sequence to life using digital tools to paint directly onto a filmstrip sequence Disney made the first cel animated feature film in their ink and paint department in 1937.

Modelling traditional and modern animation methods you can paint your own scene or character or both!Draw inspiration from the vibrant palette of Walt Disney's celebrated concept artist Mary Blair. Mary Blair joined Disney in the 1940's and became an artist championed by Walt for her modern and distinctive style and use of luminous colour on film. She created concept art for films including Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland, and Peter Pan.
Recommended for all ages from 3+ years
