What are some artists/bands that you currently like?
Sheryl Crow, Alanis Morissette, Norah Jones, Powderfinger, Sting, Counting Crows.

In the years to come, when you look back upon this experience, how would you like to be remembered?
As a singer/songwriter who made people happy with her music.

Have you ever overslept/got too late to an important interview/show?
No, I'm painfully punctual, cause I was taught never to be late and it's a hard habit to break.

What kind of movies do you like?
I like movies about real life stories, but I also just love to watch
something purely for entertainment value like Happy Gilmore.

Where do you think the direction of your music is headed?
I've just aquired a 1970's Fender Rhodes which is shaping the sound of my music and inspiring me to write beautiful melodies. I used to write deeper, more intense lyrics but I find now I like to get a bit
lighter and more fun.

Do you ever listen to your own music at home?
Yes, especially when I need to reassure myself that my music is good. When I listen and it moves me, I'm happy.

What is the most important for you, love or career?
Love. However, my partner is my bass player so I'm lucky I don't have to make that choice.

Do you have siblings? If so are they older or younger than you?
Funny you should ask. I have 5 sisters older and younger plus three
brothers. I am no.4

What do you do on your day off?
Go to the beach if possible.

What's the best thing a fan has ever done for you?
Asked to shake my hand.

If a fan invites you to dinner, would you accept?
That depends on the individual. There would need to be some familiarity and trust between us.

What is daily eating and exercise habits?
I love to eat but I eat well. I make my own bread (in a bread maker), and I like to eat a lot of fish, organic chicken and salads. Don't worry, I also love a good coffee and cake. I also like to have a glass of wine with dinner.

If you could go back in time for a day, who would you spend it with and what would you do?
Oh my God, that's a hard one. There are sooooo many people I'd spend it with but I'd probably go snorkelling on the Great Barrier Reef.

Could you ever be friends with a fan?
Some of my best friends are fans, so I guess the answer is yes.

What are you scared of?
Being ordinary.

What is one of the most coolest places you have been to for a concert that you did? And why?
I once played in a band in Sydney to about 30,000 people on the evening of the Bi-Centennial celebrations, and it was my first experience playing to such a big crowd with such an enormous sound system. It was evening, and someone yeld out could I sing AND THE BAND PLAYED WALTZING MATILDA, so I did and they all held up their cigarette lighters and swayed which was amazing. That's when I knew I had found what I wanted to do.

What three things would you take on the desert island?
My partner, my dog and my doona.

What is the most embarassing thing you did on stage?
Hit myself in the mouth with the microphone as I was singing with my eyes closed.

How do you take out the stress of your work or if you've just had a bad day?
Yoga and swimming at the beach. I guess you've worked out that I live at the beach.

What has been the best moment of your career so far?
Hearing my song on the radio for the first time.

Do you write with your right or left hand?
Right hand.

What do you see in a person of the opposite sex?
Depth in conversation, compassion and humour.

If you could be someone else for a day, who would you be and why?
I'd actually like to be a pelican so I could fly from place to place and check out the scenery from up there.

Let's say you fall in love with a fan, but your manager disagrees.
What would you do?
I'm in love now so that won't happen.

What do you do with all the money you make?
Great question. The only reason for making loads of money in my books is to be able to share it around - of course making sure you're comfortable first. I would put money into saving endangered wildlife, and anything that helps restore and protect our environment. I also have a large family don't forget.

Have you had a stalker or a really obsessed fan?
No thankfully.

If you had 24 hours to live, where would you go and what would you do?
I spend it with my family and it probably wouldn't matter where it was.

Which was the latest music you bought?
Norah Jones, Come Away With Me.

What would you be doing now if you never got into music?
Taking walking safaris through the Kimberleys.
