Rupert, Tyla and Candy are thrilled when they move into their new home, the House of Toys, which boasts a playing-cards roof, dice chimney, jigsaw-puzzle doors and a huge word maze on their bedroom ceiling.

But at night they begin to hear some very strange noises. Footsteps and something that sounds like fulttering wings. Food goes missing in the middle of the night. Who could be doing this?

Their investigation leads the children to Foxamosh's famous Toyworx factory, where the public had always been forbidden to enter. The Toyworx owner, Wedsley Foxamosh mysteriously disappeared a few months ago, and since then a dubious toymaker has taken control of his magical factory.

What is the secret inside the House of Toys? What really happened to Wedsley Foxamosh? It's up tot he children to solve the mystery and get Foxamosh Toyworx up and running again.

About the Author:
Born in Coffs Harbour, NSW, Peter Cleary has worked in a number of jobs around Australia as a jackaroo, a singer/guitarist/busker, a peanut harvester and a painter. He began writing children's stories in 1999. He has had poetry published in the International Library of Poetry, and has recorded a song called 'Country Mile'. 'Trickery at the Toyworx' is his first novel.
