Tora To Support Oh Wonder

Tora To Support Oh Wonder

With their highly acclaimed debut album Take A Rest accumulating over 10 millions streams since its release in 2017, securing album packet on triple j, and more than 40 album tour shows around the globe including sold out sets in Melbourne, Paris and London, now the Byron Bay four-piece Tora can reveal that they will be joining London-based synth-pop duo Oh Wonder on their upcoming Australian tour.

The news comes alongside a remix of single Too Much by LEISURE. The five-piece from Auckland have put their trademark funk sounds on the remix, stripping back the tune and adding in a lush guitar sound. The LEISURE remix joins a previously released remix of Too Much by hip-hop duo Fortunes.

In addition to the Oh Wonder support, Tora will be joining San Cisco for a very special show at the UNSW Roundhouse on 15 March for the re-opening of the iconic UNSW venue following an extensive renovation.

Tracks from Take A Rest have received support from respected members of the international music industry including Sir Elton John, Julie Adenuga and Becca Dudley (Beats1), Annie Mac (Radio1), Lauren Laverne and Tom Robinson (BBC 6 Music), KCRW (LA), Radio Eins and Flux FM (Germany) who have all played tracks on their radio programs. Whilst over in the UK on the album tour Tora stopped by the famed Red Bull Studios to record captivating live versions of Too Much and Blame, see here.

Tora wrote Take A Rest over a two year period in various locations around the globe before composing, recording, producing and mixing the album in their home studios in Byron Bay. With over 40 million streams to their credit and having played the likes of Glastonbury and Splendour in the Grass, a national support slot with RUFUS, and a run of their own sold shows. Tora have an extensive touring CV, with spots on the line up at The Great Escape (UK), Best Kept Secret (NL), and Germany's premier festivals Fusion Festival, and Reeperbahn as well as over 70 other festivals and headline shows across Europe, the US, Mexico and Canada.
