I Am Thankful For:

...for the taxes that I pay because it means that I am employed.
...for the mess to clean after a party because it means I have been surrounded by friends.
...for the clothes that fit a little too snug because it means I have enough to eat.
...for my shadow who watches me work because it means I am out in the sunshine.
...for a lawn that needs mowing, windows that need cleaning and gutters that need fixing because it means I have a home.
...for all the complaining I hear about the government because it means we have freedom of speech.
...for the spot I find at the far end of the parking lot because it means I am capable of walking.
...for the lady behind me in church who sings off key because it means that I can hear.

...for the piles of laundry and ironing because it means I have clothes to wear.
...for weariness and aching muscles at the end of the day because it means I have been productive.
...for the alarm that goes off in the early morning hours because it means that I am alive.
...for getting too much e-mail because it lets me know I have friends who are thinking of me.
...for a pension that seems too meager many a time because there are
many in other countries without it

...for the mess left by my children because some women can't have them
...for the endless task of chasing my kids in shopping centres because it means they are healthy enough to run!
...for a body that's now vertically challenged and scarred for life because it was caused by my beautiful children!

Time for Friends

Around the corner I have a friend,
In this great city that has no end,

Yet the days go by, and the weeks rush on,
And before I know it a year has gone.

And I never see my old friend's face,
For life is a swift and terrible race,

He knows I like him just as well,
As in the days when I rang his bell,

And he rang mine too, we were younger then,
And now we are busy, tired men.

Tired of playing a foolish game,
Tired of trying to make a name.

Tomorrow; I say, I will call on Jim
Just to show I am thinking of him.

But tomorrow comes and tomorrow goes,
And distance between us grows and grows.

Around the corner! - yet miles away,
'Here's a telegram sir,' Jim died today.

And that's what we get and deserve in the end.
Around the corner, a vanished friend.

Don't forget your friends and tell them you love them...

Good friends are like stars...You don't always see them, but you always know they are there.

Believe in yourself

No matter your goals in life, whether it is to be more confident, financially secure, fitter and healthier or less stressed, how you think about and view yourself and your level of being able to feel happiness will affect these outcomes. Visualising happiness, believing you have the right to be happy and believing you are capable of creating happiness is of the utmost importance. If you cannot do this, then you probably wont be able to take the required steps to reaching your hearts desires...
So overall, you MUST believe in yourself. To achieve your goals you have to believe that you can and will achieve. Close your eyes, imagine yourself in the scenario you dream of and this will fill your heart with longing, passion and fire to work towards achieving what you long for. Cancel out the negative thoughts in your mind by having faith in yourself, your ability and backing yourself up by taking positive steps toward reaching your goals. You can do it.

Great minds discuss ideas; average minds discuss events; small minds discuss people.

He, who loses faith, loses all.

Learn from the mistakes of others. You can't live long enough to make them all yourself.

Friends, you and me - you brought another friend - and then there were 3.

We started our group - our circle of friends - and like that circle - there is no beginning, nor an end.

Yesterday is history - tomorrow is a mystery - today is a gift.
