Abby Cadabby's Alice in Wonderland-inspired debut!

Abby Cadabby is an inquisitive 3-year-old fairy-in-training who has just moved to Sesame Street from Fairyside, Queens. The daughter of a Fairy Godmother, she is learning magic but is not quite proficient yet and has a propensity for turning things into pumpkins with her "training wand." She has come from a storybook world and is well-versed in fairytales, as they are a part of her family history. Abby loves to practice her magic and rhyming, but what she finds truly amazing and magical is what she discovers on Sesame Street, such as learning to count and drawing a letter with a crayon. She is shy yet curious when she first meets the inhabitants of Sesame Street, wondering if Snuffy is a "mountain" and if Big Bird is a "giant." Despite her initial shyness she makes many new friends, including Elmo, Zoe, and Rosita. They in turn are delighted and fascinated by Abby - that she can "pop" in and out, that she floats when she is happy, and that she has beautiful wings.

Interpreting Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland, Sesame Street's newest muppet, fairy Abby Cadabby, falls asleep and follows a red rabbit (played by the adorable Elmo) down a rabbit hole where she encounters whimsical characters such as Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum (Bert and Ernie), The Cheshire Cookie Cat, The Mad Hatter (Grover), and the Grouch of Hearts!

Tips for Parents:
Create your own fairytale: ask your child to pretend to fall asleep and wake up in fairy tale world! She can act out and recite the story while you write it down. Read the story together at bedtime!
Count and compare: Encourage your child to count different sets of objects. How many are there all together? Then, compare and describe their size by using words like big, bigger, biggest.
Have your own t-party: Have your own T-party Lay out objects or food that begin with the letter T. Help your child make T signs to use as decoration, then make labels naming each item!
