Remington has been awarded a finalist place in the 2009 Australian Women's Weekly Product of the Year awards with its number one selling Slimline Ceramic straightener. The Slimline Ceramic straighener is the only haircare appliance among the finalists.

Celebrating the best products of 2009 across 15 categories, the inaugural awards offer consumers the chance to vote for their favourite products. Finalists are chosen by a panel of seven independent industry experts including Deborah Thomas and Prof. Kerryn Phelps. Out of thousands of entries Remington's Slimline Ceramic straightener made the shortlist for Favourite Small Appliance.

Proving its place as the expert in haircare, Remington has won two awards this year for its haircare appliances - the beautyheaven.com.au Glosscar for its Shine Therapy straightener and for the fifth year, the GfK award for No.1 in Haircare.
