For St Kilda Road professionals, there is a delicious new option lighting up the lunch hour. Bistro Bakini has opened its doors, offering a range of authentic Italian lunch options at very reasonable prices.

An evolution of Bakini – the renowned fine dining restaurant that stamped its culinary presence on St Kilda Road when it opened in February – Bistro Bakini is a front of house dining experience for discerning professionals seeking a quality lunch. The menu features Italian classics – think Fried Calamari, Tomato and Fiordilatte Caprese salad, or Gnocchi with Gorgonzola and Walnuts. The sizable entrées start at just $12, pastas and risottos are exceptional value at $18.50 each, and the mouthwatering main courses start at $19.

Freshly baked bread and handmade pasta – hallmarks of the original Bakini experience – are carried through into Bistro Bakini, giving diners a truly authentic taste of Italy in their lunch hour.

The smartly designed space features comfortable shared tables, lounges and luxurious dining areas. Its impressive and considered design – intended to mirror a modern Italian apartment – reflects that core tenet of Italian cooking: that food is centre of family life in Italy.

Serving lunch and dinner, the new Bistro Bakini menu is affordable and enticing. Lunch patrons can enjoy meals in the new space from Tuesday to Friday, while dinners are served on Saturdays too.

Bakini and Bistro Bakini are under the ownership of Albert Dadon AM of the Ubertas Group, with Restaurant Manager Maurizio Barrottu controlling the floor. The restaurant has large indoor and outdoor spaces, seating 90.
