Peter and the Wolf

Peter and the Wolf

Prokofiev's classic told through music and puppets.
Relaxed and family-friendly performances.

The Melbourne Symphony Orchestra presents Peter and the Wolf, the all-time favourite classical introduction to music - for the young and young at heart – to the sights and sounds of a symphony orchestra.

Join Cybec Assistant Conductor Nicholas Bochner and narrator Richard Vaudrey as they guide the musicians through the cheeky and somewhat playful story of Peter and his menagerie of animals.

In this special MSO production of Prokofiev's renowned work, colourful puppets created by Annie Forbes and Tim Denton and directed by Emma Muir-Smith will bring the imaginative world of music alive for young audiences, portraying the characters of wolf, duck, boy and bird in this beautiful beginners guide to classical music.

The MSO presents Peter and The Wolf in two family-friendly performances on Saturday 8 May: 10am and a relaxed and sensory-friendly performance at 1.30pm. All tickets to these two special events are $20, and both performances are selling fast.
