Organised Chaos

Organised Chaos

h3>Organised ChaosWhen does 'overly organised' become an issue? I'm one of 'those people' who has to have everything in order, in the home, and by order I mean straight, clean, even, alphabetised, planned, colour coordinated or chronological and I never thought this was an issue until recently…

I love the little world I live in; issues don't even occur when my partner feels it's necessary to have the heater on 19 degrees or if he puts the Tomato Sauce back in the wrong place (next to the Honey instead of the next to the Teriyaki, of course) or he tries to help with the washing and doesn't hang the socks with socks and all his work shirts, together - I just fix it!

However, issues do occur when I notice odd numbers on other people's heaters, radio volumes and recently that happened and honestly how can you deal with that? It's okay when it's my home or at my parents because I can just change it but how do you politely ask a friend or even a stranger to change their heater setting because it makes you feel uncomfortable? The answer is you can't! Although to be honest, one particular time, I had to speak up and the heater temperature was changed and so was the volume on the television.

When a close friend showers and I'm left to keep myself occupied in her home I alphabetise her DVD and book collection then wait for the text, hours after leaving her house, saying "you did it again, didn't you?"

To be clear I feel better when everything is in 'order' because it ensures a clear and stress-free environment. That's not an issue, is it..?
