HOODOO GURUS KICK OFF NEW EVENT ON SEPTEMBER 15
Following an exhilarating set of live music performances last year in its inaugural season, Night At The Barracks returns to thrill music lovers for another outstanding series this September and October, with an all star line-up!
Running from September 15 – October 8, legendary Aussie band Hoodoo Gurus kick off proceedings under the glistening Manly stars, leading an incredible program of live performances from Australia's biggest names in music.
Alongside Hoodoo Gurus, the line-up includes Missy Higgins, the first Sydney performance from Kate Ceberano with The Metropolitan Orchestra performing her new album My Life Is A Symphony, Tom Burlinson Big Band performs Sinatra and the Kings of Swing, Rolling Stones Revue featuring Adalita, Tex Perkins and Tim Rogers, Bjorn Again, James Morrison's Motown Experience, a debut Sydney performance of History Of House featuring Groove Terminator & Soweto Gospel Choir, and concluding with the iconic Tina Arena with a Sydney exclusive show as the last performance to wrap up the concert series.
This stellar event features a myriad of award-winning artists including 2 ARIA Hall of Fame inductees and accolades such as 3 x Grammy Awards, 3 x World Music Awards, and an incredible total of 43 ARIA Awards, not to mention countless Gold and Platinum album sales.
We're excited to announce that Polestar, the Swedish electric performance car brand, are returning as Presenting Partner, along with continued support from Northern Beaches Council, Cunard, Gage Roads, Manly Spirits and new partners, Engie and Tempus Two.
Northern Beaches Mayor Sue Heins says, "We're so thrilled to have this sustainable event return to the area. It is a great drawcard to support local businesses and the entertainment industry while our community and visitors will enjoy performances by singing royalty with a picture-perfect backdrop – it's the perfect night out."
Jonathan Williams, Head of Marketing at Polestar Australia explains, "Polestar is an electric car brand with an unwavering commitment to reducing its climate impact, so we look for partners with shared values and equally ambitious sustainability goals. Since first collaborating with Polestar in 2022, Night at the Barracks has emerged as a leader in sustainable events in Australia and we are proud to return as Presenting Partner."
Following our award win in 2022 for Northern Beaches Event of the Year that was due in part to our commitment to sustainability, we will once again be striving towards carbon neutrality with initiatives that are at the forefront in the events and entertainment industry. We will be working with Engie to power the site from 100% renewable energy, our clothing merchandise is made from 100% recycled material, there will be no single use plastics on site, and we will be once again encouraging ticket holders to use public transport. In addition to this there will also be bike racks on site to encourage visitors to cycle to the event.
Tickets on sale: 9am Wednesday, May 24 with early bird pricing available for a limited time.
The hidden wonderland at North Head Barracks has been unlocked for a concert series like no other. Ticket holders can journey into this enchanting location steeped in historical significance and natural beauty, gazing up into the night sky whilst experiencing some of Australia's most extraordinary talent.
The event will also host an array of local food and beverage providers bringing you a taste of the Northern Beaches. In addition to this, the local team at North Head behind Night at the Barracks will proudly be supporting businesses in the surrounding area.
With North Head Sanctuary and the Barracks forming an integral part of Australian history, event organisers feel extremely privileged to be able to share this event series with the general public.
