'All Bets Are Off'

For more than 11 years, David Schwarz played a courageous and determined brand of football. Nick-named the 'Ox', he played 173 games for the Melbourne Football Club, winning the Demons 'Best and Fairest' in 1999.

Since retiring, David has pursued an active media career, co-hosting the sports radio program 'The Run Home' and is also a part of Channel 7's AFL commentary team.

The David Schwarz story so far has many highs and lows. From the adoration of fans at the height of his football success, to the admission that over the year's he had lost over $4million through gambling, it is difficult not to marvel at the now reformed Schwarz.

In 2007, the Australian Leisure and Hospitality Group appointed David as their Responsible Gambling Ambassador and, in 2008, he was once again welcomed back to AFL football, as the Bulldogs Forward Line Coach.

With honesty and clarity, David will provide a rare insight into his experiences both on and off the football field, and how, with determination and courage, obstacles and challenges can be transformed into new opportunities.
