Moonlight Cinema announces March Program

March into Moonlight for a final month of fun, food, and films!

March at Moonlight Cinema, presented by NAB, is all set for a final month of exciting new releases, nights of fan-favourite flicks and advanced screenings to entertain kids, couples and everyone in-between.

On Saturday 17 March hop into Moonlight Cinema at Centennial Parklands for a Sydney-only advanced screening of Peter Rabbit. Making the jump from beloved storybook character to the big screen, the film follows the feud between Peter and Mr. McGregor over both the vegetable treasure in Mr McGregor's forbidden garden and their rivalry for the affections of the warm-hearted animal lover who lives next door (Rose Byrne).

During the filming of Peter Rabbit, Sydney's leafy Centennial Parklands, was turned into the quaint English countryside home of Mr. McGregor so this special location based Moonlight screening will see Peter return to the parkland's lush lawns for a star turn on the silver screen.

Other advanced screenings this month include the visually-dazzling Wrinkle in Time, a family fantasy flick starring Oprah Winfrey and Reese Witherspoon; coming-of-age tale Love, Simon; John Cena's hilarious new comedy Blockers; and Chris Hemsworth in the powerful war drama 12 Strong.

Why watch the hottest new releases in a dark room when you can rock a glam picnic in the outdoors. Moonlight's March program features a stellar line-up of new release flicks including Black Panther; Molly's Game; Red Sparrow and Game Night.

To celebrate International Women's Day (8 March), Moonlight will screen Wonder Woman, which shattered records in 2017 as the highest-grossing superhero origin film of all time. That isn't the only fan-favourite screening in March though. Catch special screenings of the cult-classics Mamma Mia and Deadpool, just in time for their up-coming sequels; and the hilarious chick-flick, Bridesmaids. All Fan-Favourite screenings have a $13 ticket price.

The opening week of Moonlight's March program is Oscar Week. Before Hollywood's biggest awards night, head to Moonlight to check out some of the nominated films generating all the buzz this awards season including Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri; I, Tonya, and Get Out.

Easter long weekend rounds out the March program. Included in this weekend of cinema is the Marvel hit Black Panther, Jason Bateman's suburban comedy Game Night and an advanced screening for you, and your furbaby – Wes Anderson's new film, The Isle of Dogs.

On the gorgeous green lawns of Melbourne, Sydney and Perth, Moonlight Cinema brings a relaxed festival atmosphere to film-watching.

Being a BYO event, Moonlight Cinema is a low-cost, easy night out for everyone. If you're too busy to BYO, don't stress, Moonlight can provide you with everything you need – hot food, drinks, snacks and bean-bed rentals. For the luxury experience, Moonlight's Gold Grass reserved bean-beds are in a premium viewing location and include a waiter service – perfect for spoiling yourself or someone special.
