Moomba Festival ran from 10–13 March 2017; located at Alexandra Gardens and Birrarung Marr, Melbourne. Proudly presented by City of Melbourne, the iconic festival celebrates its uniquely Melbourne character through an eclectic program of events.

In its sixty-third year, Moomba presented a chock-a-block program of free events on the banks of the Yarra River at Birrarung Marr and Alexandra Gardens.

Highlights included carnival rides and games; kids' activities; watersports; local musicians; pro scoot, skate and BMX comps; a cubby village; roller disco; and some seriously delicious food.

The Moomba Parade on the Monday was all about kids creating the inspiration behind their floats.

Moomba Parade 2017 Highlights include; Meatballs & Speghetti Float, Robot Invasion, Batty the Fruit Bat and the Trivical Dancers, The Love Boat Float, Jungle City, Studio D, Kreation Cheer and Dance, Spirit of Polynesia and Spirit Entertainment Group.
